The Legends Football Game is scheduled to hold at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, as part of activities commemorating 30 years since Nigeria won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title and secured Olympic football gold at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

Former Nigerian football stars from the celebrated 1994 and 1996 Super Eagles generations will reunite with other African football legends for an exhibition match in Lagos on Sunday, November 8.

The Legends Football Game is scheduled to hold at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, as part of activities commemorating 30 years since Nigeria won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title and secured Olympic football gold at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

Leading the Nigerian contingent are former internationals Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Daniel Amokachi, Finidi George, Victor Ikpeba, Mutiu Adepoju, Garba Lawal and Taribo West.
They will face a star-studded African Legends team featuring former African Footballer of the Year Emmanuel Adebayor, Senegalese star El-Hadji Diouf, Ghana's Stephen Appiah, Ivory Coast's Didier Zokora and Cameroon's Rigobert Song, among others.
The event is being organised by Toptier Sports Management in partnership with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and its Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) programme.
Beyond the exhibition match, the programme will feature a football development camp for 500 young players, entertainment performances and a special recognition ceremony to honour members of Nigeria's historic football teams.

Nigeria's 1994 generation won the AFCON title in Tunisia before making the country's first appearance at the FIFA World Cup later that year.
Two years afterwards, the Super Eagles made further history by winning Nigeria's first Olympic football gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games, defeating Brazil in the semi-final before overcoming Argentina in the final.
The exhibition match will be broadcast live on NTA, AIT and Silverbird Television from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The reunion is expected to celebrate the achievements of the legendary players while recognising their contributions to Nigerian and African football.
